Ally in the City

Last week I caught up with my friend Ally. I’ve been itching to do some more studio style fashion work. I couldn’t help try a little bit of editorial as well. We aimed for a high color, high contrast mood. Of course, Ally provided plenty of charm, good looks and attitude!

Ally is going to add a few of these to her headshot portfolio. If you’re interested in booking me for a headshot session just contact me here!

Ally—Hit me with your Best (Head) Shot

Last weekend Ally, an old coworker from the bar, hit me up for headshots. You might recognize her face from various background work she does when she’s not slinging drinks and posing for Tattoo Magazines. Ally’s expanding her portrait portfolio for some upcoming auditions. We turned my apartment into a studio rather easily and got to work! I’m pretty pleased the results. I hope the casting directors are too! Anyhow, We had a lot of fun, a few cocktails and some great conversation!

Jill’s Adventure

Sunday I set out with Jill to do some pictures.  I always get a little nervous before an editorial shoot.  It’s not that I doubt my craft, but something about having complete freedom to shoot however I like is sort of a daunting task.  So I like to start out simple and then make things more complex.  This is especially the case when I’m shooting a subject for the first time.  It helps establish a trust, and pretty soon that nervousness breaks down and I’m floating in the void again.  It was a 4 hour shoot but I felt like it was only twenty mins.  I think we got a ton of great shots! Check them out!’
