“A good photograph tells a story. A great photograph eludes to the subject’s then, now, and what will be. And suddenly I’m doing more than just taking pictures. I become a historian, narrator and fortune teller of sorts.”
Zac Clark has been shooting stories and telling fortunes for over a decade. His subjects and their lives create a story that could never be told in written language. He was trained classically as a studio photographer. He believes the true key to a great image lies in hearkening to the masters of latter day and applying their expertise to today’s photographic trials.
“There are a lot of gimmicks out there now that computers allow you to do just about anything you want to an image, and that’s exciting, but I feel like the best images are a result of a good eye and the photographic know how to pull it off!”
It’s that diligence and commitment to perfection that makes Zac one of the brightest up and coming stars in the New York photography market. From his use of props and styling to his interaction with his subjects, he always trying something new, something that will make the results extraordinary, something that the world won’t forget.
